Wings of Despair

This is the competition prize for =DevilishSeraph from way back when I hosted my FFF (February Form Fiesta). Every 1st, 2nd and 3rd winner was awarded a request and as her piece the world weary came third in the Sedoka category, this is hers.

She asked - 'uuh...like a fractal that somehow brings to mind the idea of despair that is dark and gloomy, and there are wings in the design somewhere?'
