Love's Responsibility

Most people live not knowing it,
Yet constantly it grows,
It wraps its wings around the world,
So all its joy can flow.

While people think they know its touch,
When things are going great,
Euphoric is the thing they feel,
Love is one of fate.

To love, it shows true courage,
To cut your heart in half,
To flame those fires in your soul,
To care, despite how hard.

In this world of coldness deep,
You settle for an easy gain,
You leave the love you could have had,
For something dead; so plain.

Heart beat pulsing in my chest,
Its power surging throughout me,
I want him now, yet he escapes,
I watch him till I cannot see.

I love so much, you could not know,
My heart is full of Light supreme,
I wish sometimes it would not be,
So much to feel; so extreme.
