Through Frosted GlassShe watches.
She waits.

Through the window she sees a world,
A beautiful place,
That is open to her if she only appear,
If she only announced her presence.

Through the frosted glass, she sees a future,
A future of happiness and love,
Where the arms are always open to her,
If she only accepts their embrace.

However,
Within the reflection she sees a demon,
A person that brings nothing but pain and misery,
And this person does not belong,
In a place of love.

Blurred eyes peer through the window,
As she places a letter,
To show that her heart is always open,
If they only accept it.

Little did she know that a little girl,

When so easily,
All I claim to be,
Is arrogance.

How can I protect?
How can I save?
Those dear to me,
From a monster none see,
The shadows within.

The anger- it stirs,
Ignites, steals all,
The self control I held,
It scares away the ones I need,
And I lie here alone.

Honesty chokes,
Honour left tarnished,
I’m not who I say,
I am a darkness pretending to love,
An actor deceiving you all.

This warning so brief,
Is all I can give,
The demon is waking inside,
The lies that comforted lie bare as you see,
The depravity I really am.

And yet I wish for love,
Always knowing,
My dirty ha

Cat and MouseWatch his rhythm as he moves,
So calculated, ever poised,
With strength so present in his stance,
And pure seduction in his glance,
These are but clever subtle ploys,
To steal all that you have to lose.

A casual laugh, a small debate,
He acts as though he cares so much,
Yet beneath his cultured clothes,
There is one thing he cannot know,
The love on which we always clutch,
There’s no heart in one of hate.

Yet somehow he has met his match,
A lady glides upon the floor,
Her eyes lit sapphires- watch him peer,
She feels no worry, feels no fear,
Yet she sees his soul and more,
She will be his final catch.

Deadened HeartYou robbed me and replaced with pain,
I will not be who you became,
A person with a deadened heart,
A soul that lives immersed in dark,
You cannot see, you’re just a flea,
There’s nothing more you’ll ever be.

So angry- I am filled with rage,
There’s so much now I cannot say,
I want to scream and tear apart,
Rip out that cold and icy heart,
From the cavern where it lies,
For you are one that I despise.

You stole my hero from my life,
You stabbed with that gleaming knife,
You broke me down, you smashed my face,
Yet I won’t live through this disgrace,
You were the one that was to blame,
Not that you care

Room for HumanityThere is a room.

The room is divided,
On one side the lanterns burn brightly,
Their warmth and glow flickering upon hopeful faces,
Love and rapture so present in every heart,
While their counterparts,
Who dwell on the other side,
Languish in the cold breeze,
And chilling embrace,
Of the darkness,
There is peace in misery they say,
Comfort in the familiarity of agony and sorrow.
We choose to linger here.
Here is our home.

One child stands alone,
Looking at each side with curiosity- with wonder,
She can’t decide where to go,
For although it is obvious that the warmth is hope,
And the light is happiness,
She knows that in

My DeityHer strength- so seen in unwavering gaze,
Pulls at my heart and draws in my soul,
For she is amazing in different ways,
Yet she won't believe this if ever she's told.

So loving, so caring- that beautiful face,
So sadly is tempered with stress and with strain,
Yet none of these things pull at her grace,
Such wondrous light can be seen through her pain.

Indifference, darkness and fear try to steal,
All that she is and all she can be,
Yet she battles on, she will not yield,
For she is divine, a pure deity.

The Warnings of a VagabondTake these moments, think them through,
As they may be the death of you,
A fool-proof plan you must create,
With not a flaw, with no mistake,
Or you won’t take another breath,
As cold you lie in early death.

The PainterI thought you’d have the heart to say,
That I am not the one you seek,
The one who makes you want to smile,
The soul who lives to hear you speak,
And revel in your child like fun,
But alas I’m not this one.

I know the man who claimed this part,
This dazzling role before your eyes,
He weaves such love like works of art,
He paints a picture- canvassed lies,
A fraud so tailored, please believe,
He’s nothing like the man you see.

But how can one like I compare?
To one who hides with joyous ease?
I am but one who wants to share,
Every day, each memory,
Yet I will never have that chance,
As I’ll receive no secon

ObliviousWe cannot see the warnings,
We cannot read the signs,
We cannot hear the whispers,
That tell us it is time.

The clock is striking midnight,
The day is drawing near,
The moment of the ending,
All things shall soon be clear.

All vagrants in the cities,
All lost, abused and maimed,
Will have a chance for freedom,
A life that they can claim.

All things shall turn from normalcy,
No structured, scheduled plans,
A ruckus shall ensue then,
We shall not understand.

We cannot see the warnings,
We cannot read the signs,
We cannot hear the whispers.

We shall not understand.

We Will Never Be Perfect A dilapidated, small house--a single light is on inside, barely illuminating the silhouettes of hunched over figures. DANIEL, a some-what well-dressed man is at the door, obviously out of place with his ragged surroundings. He seems fidgety and agitated. Someone opens the door on the inside; Daniel walks in.

A woman, NICOLE, is smoking something indistinguishable while sitting next to an open window. Two people are sitting off in a corner, another is strewn about in the hallway. Two others can be heard giggling in an adjacent room, just out of sight. Daniel stands in the door way and looks down the hall to Nicole, she is close enough to sp

I WishThey stole me,
And yet your fingertips,
Claimed me,
They brought me back to life,
I lay with you, so happily,
Yet you are but a memory.

How could you break me, and so callously take me,
How could you cast out and swiftly forsake me?

I wish you were different,
I wish I could trust,
I wish I had listened to those that love me so much,
I wish you were smarter,
I wish I knew why,
Why you discarded me,
Left me to cry.

They used me,
Like a slab of meat and yet,
You felt me,
Knew I wasn’t just a body,
I lay with you, so happily,
Yet I am but a memory.

How could you break me, and so callously take me,

Rising SilenceShe was alone,
Now and forever,
Alone.

The waters had embraced her,
Their chilling arms making her jackknife,
But she could not turn away.

They offered her solace,
They offered her peace,
They offered her silence.

The waters inside were swirling,
A whirlpool that was sucking away her existence, her very stability,
But she could not escape.

Her only solace,
Her only peace,
Lay in the choking presence of the ocean.

Where she could be alone,
Forever alone,
In silence.

The Tails of Falling StarsShe was awestruck by the backs of moons that were
too far away to see with her unaided ocean eyes;
her petal fingers lace around the necks of stars.

Tracing their distant narrative, she becomes
an oracle, picking at Castor and Pollux;
the innards of sacrificial lamb becoming
the threshold of her prophetic quasar.

Always in search for the answers
that remain as churning syllables,
rotting at the bottom of her myrtle lungs.

She harvests the tree-branch limbs of galaxies,
to appraise the fruits of fate;
calculating the depths of nebulae, nuances of flesh.
She remembers how she grew to fear space.

Affliction of GravityWe were spinning in a violent orbit,
fragments against a time continuum,
with the shock signals of past events
coursing through our brain waves
and hovering away into unwanted space.

Your spiral fingers clutched twenty-two street lights,
coalescing them into supernovae
to gather their unseen veils of jade.

Our feet, skittering across the worn concrete,
were blazing a new trail of the universe.
The pale glass panels of the skyscrapers
showered down small meteorites,
illumination for our blind and careless eyes.

We'd point to buildings that grazed each star
off sideways perches made from skeleton clouds;
then I'd trill my laugh o

Of this hollow black abyss,
I cannot see the top,
Can I escape from this?

I dug the pit much deeper,
Than I’ve ever tried before,
And allowed a darting push,
As I feel upon its floor.

I hold back tears and wishes,
Hold hope with no regard,
My mind is full of skeptic ploys,
My friends here in the dark.

My wings are all but shattered,
My dress is tattered; torn,
