The push and pull - a dangerous game,
An agony, a sharp embrace,
The terrifying pas de deux,
A blanching of a lover's face.

With moments smiles transform to frowns,
And there is no one there to blame,
Just mistakes carved on broken flesh,
Infernos bred from candle flame.

And whilst the caring doesn't cease,
The centres that awoke do scream,
And batter, bruise and wound the soul,
Splitting, slicing, bursting seams.

The push and pull - a dangerous game,
An agony, a sharp embrace,
The terrifying pas de deux,
A blanching of a lover's face.
I'm a bit up and down at present. Essentially I need to learn to love myself and not rely on others for my happiness. My mistaken feelings for people leaves me scrambling for some perspective and some self-love amidst the self-hatred and I'm sick of the drama.

I just want peace without pain. Is that so much to ask?

:huggle: I ask that question a lot sometimes.. But I've come to discover that within loving the self, there comes a greater love.. :huggle: Good luck in your quest
